ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills, once again, are doing something special for a Sunday Night Football game.
Last year, the Bills handed out Crowdsync synchronized LED wristbands for a Sunday Night Football game against the New York Giants The blue light-up wristbands were used for a pregame light show inside Highmark Stadium for the Bills team introduction.
This year, they've focused on the halftime show and the first-ever drone show at Highmark Stadium.
"The eight-minute drone show in partnership with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield will feature several Bills-themed formations that light up the night sky," the Bills said in a statement.
The Bills released a 28-second video teaser ahead of the drone show. You can watch the video here.
A single social media post by Bills chief operating officer Pete Guelli on Wednesday had fans wondering what might be coming on Sunday. The post itself was simple: An emoji pair of glancing eyes, with a eight-second video posted underneath. Dots rise from the stadium and into the sky, forming the words "Sunday night lights."
Some people in the comments to Guelli's post suggested it could be a drone show.
Others suggested it could reference The Killers, a band from Las Vegas whose song "Mr. Brightside" has become a staple with Bills Mafia. The band is starting a tour in Australia on Saturday night, but use of the song itself remains an option for the halftime show.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. Sunday at Highmark Stadium. The game will be aired on NBC and Channel 2.
