TV series filming in Buffalo looking for local talent

Crews filming 'For Nothing' pilot casting for roles in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Hollywood production filming in Buffalo is putting out the call for local talent to work on the series, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

The series is called "For Nothing." It's a mafia-style show created by Nicholas Denmon, the Buffalo native behind the bestselling books of the same name.

The pilot will begin filming this month, and if all goes according to plan, they'll sell it to one of the big streaming platforms, and shoot several seasons here.

It's important to Denmon and the production team to film the whole series in Buffalo, and use as much local talent as possible. That goes for in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

"Anyone can send in their information," Casting Director Russell Brannan told 2 On Your Side. "There will be plenty of opportunities, even further into the series itself. They can have camera experience, or not. Want to help out as a P.A.? Yeah, that too. I can't stress how much that once picked up, the opportunity is limitless."
