BUFFALO, N.Y. — First came "The Tortured Poets Department," the highly anticipated secret double album from Taylor Swift.
Then came the response from fans, who quickly listened to the album when it dropped around 2 a.m. Friday. Then came a party at VENU on Chippewa Street to celebrate the new music.
The event at VENU was hosted by the Swiftie Mafia group, which used the event to connect with fellow fans.
"I didn't know any of these people that I'm here with tonight over a year ago," Jen Ivancie-Andrews of Swiftie Mafia told 2 On Your Side on Friday night. "And because of Taylor Swift and this group, we've all been brought together, and we all have an amazing support system with each other now. If you want to belong to something, become a Swiftie."
Swiftie Mafia capped the night off by watching Taylor Swift's new music video on the big screen.
"I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second installment," Swift wrote in an Instagram caption. "And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours."
