National Comedy Center pays tribute to Lucille Ball with annual festival

Tickets are on sale for the National Comedy Center's Lucille Ball Festival- happening August 1-4.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — The National Comedy Center's annual Lucille Ball Festival happens August 1-4, and tickets are currently on sale. The festival pays tribute to the legacy of award-winning comedian, and WNY native, Lucille Ball, and features more than 50 live events.

Visitors can expect to see performances by acclaimed comedians Nicole Byer and Nate Bargatze on August 1 and 3. Separate tickets can be purchased online to see each of these comedians perform at the Comedy Center.

For "I Love Lucy" fans, the Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum will feature a dinner at the Tropicana club and their tribute show, "Ricardos and Mertzes: Jamestown at Last." The museum additionally plans to showcase comedy's history through archive materials, "Lucy legacy" events, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts- where both Ball and Arnaz attended their premier of "Forever, Darling."
