BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Orleans, Northern Erie, Niagara, and Genesee counties until 1p.m. on Sunday, February, 18.
Lake effect snow east and southeast of the lakes could bring 3 to 5 inches of snow.
Scattered lake effect snow showers off and on and mainly east and southeast of the lakes possible tonight and into the weekend. We will have to monitor for some potential accumulations.
Lake effect snow could continue on Sunday but looks to shift northeast of Lake Erie to also impact places including Buffalo and north towards Niagara Falls and inland, then the bands may shift south during the day.
Total accumulations under the lake bands for the weekend could be 3 to 6 inches.
