BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Wind Advisory issued for all of Western New York Friday was allowed to expire.
Peak wind gusts for the day occurred just after Noon with two top gusts of 63 mph measured in both Niagara Falls and Buffalo. Peak wind gusts for most of Western New York were between 50 and 63 mph.
An additional Wind Advisory has been issued for McKean County in Pennsylvania. The advisory is scheduled to go into effect at 11 a.m. and continue until 6 p.m. Friday.
Winds this strong could cause minor property damage, localized power outages and cause difficult driving conditions. Be sure to tied down and outdoors lawn furniture or take unsecured objects inside.
