Wind Advisory expires, replaced with Winter Weather Advisory

Blowing and drifting snow plus gusty winds could lead to hazardous road conditions for the advised area Tuesday night.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Tuesday evening the Wind Advisory was dropped and replaced with a Winter Weather Advisory for many of the same counties.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 2 am for southern Erie, Wyoming, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches is expected. Plus wind gusts up to 40 mph could lead to hazardous travel with slippery roads and heavily reduced visibility from blowing and drifting snow.

Farther to the north in the Buffalo area a wintry mix of rain and snow showers will continue Tuesday night with wind gusts up to 35 mph at times.
