A flood watch has been issued for all of Western New York until Thursday afternoon.

WYOMING COUNTY, N.Y. — A Flood Watch is in effect for all of Western New York until 2 p.m. Thursday, and it's also in effect for northern Pennsylvania until 8 a.m. Thursday.

River basin rainfall amounts are reported to average around 1.5 to 2.5 inches before the precipitation changes over to snow. Creeks and streams may rise to near bank full.  Minor flooding is possible. Already half an inch to an inch and a half of rain has fallen in many areas, and another inch of rain is expected.

The Wyoming County Office of Emergency Services is warning residents that a flood watch has been issued.

Officials said that flooding could also occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
