BUFFALO, N.Y. — The remnants of tropical system Debby have moved well east of our area Friday night.

A Flood Warning for Potter county in northern PA until 8pm Friday has ended.  Flooding caused by excessive rainfall in parts of the county are over.

A Flash Flood Warning for significant flooding for Whitesville and Andover in southeastern Allegany county expired at 5:15pm Friday. Emergency management reported water rescues within the heavy rain across the warned area during the afternoon. Between 4 and 4.5 inches of rain had reportedly fallen, leading to flash flooding.

A Flood Watch was canceled late Friday afternoon for all of WNY as the bulk of the tropical rain had moved out.

Just a few lingering showers for Friday night.

Storm Team 2 was closely monitoring the track of this tropical system bringing very heavy rain to our area mainly to the southeastern areas of Western New York and into northern Pennsylvania during Friday. The track put the center of the tropical system just to our southeast, therefore the main threats locally from this were very heavy rain at times. Potentially several inches of rain for the hardest hit areas, and flash flooding possible.

Stay tuned to Storm Team 2 for forecast updates.
