Ongoing Flash Flood warning, Severe Thunderstorm Watch canceled for all of WNY

At this time no Severe Thunderstorm Warnings are in place.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Flash Flood Warning has also been issued for parts of northern Erie County and western Genesee County due to torrential rains. 1 -2 " of rain have fallen in this area and another 1 - 2" is possible. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams and underpasses and other poor drainage areas is occurring.

A portion of Sheridan Drive between Delaware Road and Belmont in the Town of Tonawanda is closed due to flooding.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for all of WNY through this evening. There is a potential for strong to severe storms producing 60 mph winds and up to quarter size hail.

The storm earlier Monday downed trees, power lines and caused damage to buildings and vehicles.
