BUFFALO, N.Y. — We are tracking the potential for some stronger thunderstorms to roll through Western New York Monday, especially in the afternoon. There could be some heavier downpours, lightning, thunder, and some gusty winds as the storms slide through.
Monday is not going to be such a pleasant day around Western New York. We have overcast conditions along with very high humidity and the chance for rain showers and thunderstorms. Monday's actual air temperature will not be all that impressive as we get to about 80° but the humidity will make it feel much warmer. There will be a lot of dry time on Monday but most areas can expect periods of rain as we head into the afternoon.
Any lingering showers and storms are expected to move out by Tuesday afternoon as high pressure builds in and brings quiet weather, briefly, for midweek.
Tuesday is going to feature the leftovers of the rain showers that are pushing through the region. Temperatures will be noticeably cooler with highs in the low 70s. The humidity will be making an exit too as that cold front slides through the area. A second cold front will move through late Tuesday into early Wednesday, which will bring sunnier conditions to Western New York.
