BUFFALO, N.Y. — A tornado warning has been issued for Genesee and Wyoming Counites until 9 p.m. Monday. This warning has been allowed to expire.
A low-pressure system off to the northwest will drop down and bring rain and thunderstorms into this evening. The main time frame is expected to be between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for northeastern Erie County and southwestern Niagara County until 5:15 p.m. was allowed to expire, as a severe storm near Niagara Falls with gusty damaging winds of 60 mph and quarter-size hail moving southeast, had weakened. However several trees and powerlines were reported down in Grand Island near Whitehaven Road and Fourth Street, from the storm that moved through there.

Any storms could produce gusty damaging winds and hail into the early evening. Heavy rain and a few stronger storms may impact the evening commute including Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Batavia, Warsaw, and the Albion areas especially.
