BUFFALO, N.Y. — The narrow lake effect snow band that impacted much of Erie county on Wednesday has weakened and shifted south. Some areas received minor accumulations, including a few inches of snow for West Seneca and also Lancaster and Pembroke. And Alden and Lackawanna saw around 2.5 inches of snow. The Buffalo Airport received 2.5 inches, and downtown had about that of slushy wet snow accumulate.
Scattered snow briefly overnight into very early Thursday morning as a cold front drops down from the north, otherwise cloudy and colder tonight lows mid 20s. Note there may be some icy spots for the morning commute with colder temperatures in the 20s. Some sunshine for the afternoon for Thursday.
Dry weather is expected on Friday with a more widespread light snow on tap for later Saturday into Sunday. May see a few inches from that storm system but keep checking in for updates as we get closer to the weekend.
