BUFFALO, N.Y. — The snow has since moved out, but most spots in Western New York saw more than an inch of snow overnight and into Thursday morning. Several locations received a few inches, and some spots 4 to 5 inches of snow.
Here are the snow totals from the National Weather Service.
In Erie County, Williamsville received the most snow at 5 inches. Elma 3.3 inches, Colden 3.2 inches, West Seneca 3 inches, Wales 3 inches, Alden 3 inches, Clarence Center 3 inches, Orchard Park 3 inches, Boston 2.9 inches, the Buffalo Airport 2.9 inches, Amherst 2.8 inches, Springville 2.5 inches, Kenmore 1.8 inches.
Also, Pembroke received 3.9 inches, Lockport 3.8 inches, Sanborn 3.6 inches, Stafford 3.5 inches, Batavia 3.3 inches, Arcade 1.5 inches, Wyoming 2.7 inches, Le Roy 2.7 inches, Ischua 2.2 inches, Pavilion 1.8 inches.
That puts Buffalo at 3.5 inches of snow so far this month of December, and 5.8 inches so far this season, which is below average. So far at this point in the cold season, we receive 13 inches of snow normally. Last year at this point already we had received 36.9 inches.
The snow that has fallen so far this season keeps melting in Buffalo, with waves of milder air moving through.
