ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Orchard Park Police on Sunday posted a couple videos to social media, showing a massive rescue vehicle piercing through the lake effect snow that's been falling all weekend across Western New York.
"If you see our Rescue Vehicle driving around today, don’t be alarmed! It’s carrying paramedics, firefighters, and SWAT officers who are responding to people in need, in areas that police cars and ambulances can’t reach," police said in one of the posts to its Facebook page.
In another video, the rescue vehicle called Rescue 1 was shown helping a tow company CarMasters Collision & Glass.
"They are out here braving the storm with us trying to help those in need! We could finally repay them for all the tows we’ve needed," police said.
As of Sunday evening, at least 12 inches of snow had fallen in Orchard Park, according to the National Weather Service.
