BUFFALO, N.Y. — A strong cold front is on its way into Western New York. Out ahead of it, the right ingredients have come together for a couple of rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms.
Scattered storms will continue to develop through the afternoon and become wore widespread in the early evening. Few storms could take on a more linear shape developing along a cold front and strengthening as they track from west to east.
The highest chance for severe storms will be in the Southern Tier, northern Pennsylvania and Genesee Valley. Buffalo and the Falls will likely see thunderstorms, just not as severe.
Storms will end by 9 p.m. Friday. After that, the sky will clear setting us up for very nice weather on Saturday.
