BUFFALO, N.Y. — With unseasonably cool air in place for June, it's no surprise that morning lows across Western New York fell into the upper 30s or even lower 40s Sunday morning.
For Buffalo, this was daily record-breaking cold. The record low temperature for June 14 was previously set back in 1946 with a low temperature of 43 degrees.
On Sunday morning, it reach 42 degrees in Buffalo, setting a daily record low temperature for June 14.
These cooler temperatures arrived as strong, continental high pressure began to build across the Northeast. And even though that weather system will control our forecast through Tuesday, conditions will begin to warm up as a southerly breeze returns early this week.
