Patrick Hammer has four passions in life. And all of them have led him to Buffalo. Those passions include his family, the love of great music, NFL football and of course the weather. Now his taste in music may be debatable, but his love for weather is undeniable.
Patrick was born and raised in San Francisco, California. His family had a clothing store in the City, which he worked at for years and it served as a predictable career path. However when you are born with the weather bug it never leaves you and thus Patrick chose to follow his true passion.
After graduating from USC in Los Angeles, Patrick started his weather career in Chico, CA. Next he had stops in Albuquerque, NM (KRQE) and Seatlle, WA. (KIRO). Next he worked in his home town of San Francisco at KTVU.
Patrick really craved more severe weather and thus took a job at KSTP in Minneapolis. He then worked for WGRZ's sister station KARE 11. Patrick, his wife Kimberly and two kids, Francesca and William, live in Hamburg eager for the snow bands to set up!
In his spare time Patrick enjoys doing his daily honey-do list.
