BUFFALO, N.Y. — Thursday night looks to be the night to see the Northern Lights locally again.
The Space Weather Prediction Center shows a decent viewing opportunity of the Northern Lights locally in Western New York, with the Geomagnetic Storm, G-Scale at a level 4 (the range is 0 to 5) for Saturday night, and the K Index at a high level 8 (the range is 0 to 9).
Mainly clear skies here will allow for a good chance for viewing as well!
The lights could glow similar to what we saw in August, maybe even a little more, but not as powerful as in May.
Go to an area with lower light pollution, and enjoy.
