More than 6 feet of snow has fallen for some WNY communities since Saturday

Snow totals from two lake effect snow events in just under a week means a lot of snow has piled up.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The lake effect snow event over the weekend brought more than 3 feet of snow to some spots in Erie County and now this most recent second round of lake effect snow this week brought more than 2 feet of snow.

Some areas got hit with a double whammy from these back-to-back lake effect snow storms mainly over Erie County where some of the highest accumulations were reported of more than 5, even 6 feet of snow!

Here are some snow totals since over the weekend, from Saturday through Thursday:

  • Hamburg 62.5 inches
  • Lackawanna 59.8 inches
  • Lancaster 58 inches
  • Elma Center 53.8 inches
  • Buffalo (SE) 53.5 inches
  • Angola 50.5 inches
  • Alden 50 inches
  • Orchard Park 46.5 inches
  • Elma 43 inches
  • Eden 42 inches
  • Blasdell 41 inches
  • East Aurora 36.5 inches
  • Cheektowaga 34.8 inches
  • Buffalo Airport 26.3 inches
  • Snyder 25.1 inches
