BUFFALO, N.Y. — After what has been a relatively mild and wet January, a colder and snowier weather pattern is on the way for this week.
Monday will be cloudy with a few wandering snowflakes.
Tuesday will have a better chance of snow as a cold front swings in from Canada and brings light snow across the area, especially in the morning.
A much larger weather system will be on the approach on Wednesday, spreading widespread snow across the region. The snow will last into Wednesday night and will possibly mix in with some sleet and rain in the overnight hours before turning back to snow on Thursday. It appears this could be enough snow to shovel and plow.
Periods of snow will last into Thursday with another chance of snow showers returning later Friday and into the weekend.
One thing for sure that we will not likely see this week is any sunshine. The last sunny day we had here was a week ago Monday and there are no signs of any blue skies soon .
