Few showers and thunderstorms on Friday, and some storms for the first weekend of Summer

Some showers and thunderstorms with very heavy rain possible on Friday and again on Sunday.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A line of showers and thunderstorms across the Southern Tier for Friday afternoon and into the early evening, may contain gusty winds and torrential downpours at times. 

There is a lower chance of an isolated shower, perhaps a t-storm near and around Buffalo to Niagara Falls for the evening.

Warm and humid Friday night, low 70.

Saturday is looking mainly dry. There’s a slight chance of a thundershower across the Southern Tier again mainly. Temperatures will be close to 90 south, and mid 80s north. And it will be on the humid.  

A better chance of widespread thunderstorms for our area comes on Sunday, and some storms may contain gusty winds and torrential downpours at times, as a cold front moves through.
