BUFFALO, N.Y. — Western New York is once again stuck in the middle of a persistently hot and humid weather pattern.
A Heat Advisory was in effect for Niagara, Orleans, Genesee and northern Erie counties Wednesday and today. That advisory has been allowed to expire. Heat index temperatures were in the mid 90s throughout the Niagara Frontier over the last two days.
The heat will relax just a bit on Friday but the humidity will hang on through the weekend. Real relief from this stuffy weather pattern comes behind a cold front that will move through late Monday into Tuesday morning.
Summer 2021 is now on pace to be one of Buffalo's top 5 warmest on record, and this August will rank as one of the top three hottest.
