Colors are just starting to turn in parts of NY for the fall season

Some areas of our state and Western New York are just starting to see the leaves changing color.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The beautiful changing of leaves across our state are just starting to show in some spots.

And the weekly Fall Foliage report of the 2024 season is almost here for New York State, by www.iloveny.com/foliage

The weekend heading into that first Fall Foliage report that's set to start during the week of September 9th, it appears there are already some leaves starting to change color in parts of the Adirondack Mountains including the Lake George area, also some parts of The Catskills and the Southern Tier.

Stay tuned for weekly updates!

The Fall Foliage report is apparently based on field reports from volunteer observers for the Empire State Development Division of Tourism’s I LOVE NY program.
