ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — There's nothing like football in Orchard Park during the month of January, and it will sure feel like it too.
The forecast for both days this weekend will be impacted by the same weather system but are two completely different days. Saturday will be mild and rainy with temperatures near 50 degrees, and then Sunday is just the opposite: cold and snowy with temperatures near or below freezing.
For tailgaters, you can expect some snow showers to start the day with temperatures in the mid to upper 20s. Those not tailgating but headed to the game will want to budget some extra time getting to the stadium because roads may be slippery or snow covered with reduced visibility from falling snow.
Right around kickoff is when temperatures will continue to fall as snow moves out. Temperatures will be hanging around the mid 20s and factor in a northwest wind around 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 and it will feel like the upper teens or low 20s.
As you get set to leave the game, you'll definitely have to brush off your car and we will have snow continuing to fall, so expect a slow drive home. Temperatures will continue to be in the low 20s by the end of the game and colder conditions are on the way for Sunday night and into Monday.
You can always track the snow with radar on our website and on the WGRZ app.
