EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Not only will Buffalo welcome 70-degree temperatures this weekend, but much for the Northeast as well.
The above-average temperatures for November will headline Sunday's game at MetLife Stadium when the Buffalo Bills take on the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon. Temperatures at kickoff will be in the low 70s under a partly cloud sky, rising into the mid 70s throughout the game. Fans will also notice a bit of humidity at the game as well too, not what you're used to hearing in the month of November.
Kickoff is at 1 p.m. Sunday, and winds will be out of the south at 10 to 15 mph.
The record-high temperature for Nov. 6 in the Newark area is 80 degrees, and while it's not expected to be that warm this Sunday, temperatures in the 70s in November is still a pretty big deal, and a welcomed forecast for any of Bills Mafia heading east this weekend.
As for the travel forecast, weather shouldn't pose much of a threat going into or out of the New York City area this weekend. The only exception is Saturday evening, when wind gusts locally could reach up to 40 mph at the Buffalo airport between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday.
For tailgating Sunday morning, there could be some areas of patchy fog through mid-morning. That shouldn't be a travel issue, and Buffalonians already dealt with their deal of fog this past week.
