BUFFALO, N.Y. — If you're flying from Buffalo and connecting through the Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, you may want to build in some extra time for your travel plans.
That's the most delayed route at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, according to the latest on-time data from Cirium, an airline analytics company. The data, from March 2024, shows how different routes at Buffalo's airport compare for on-time flights.
Several Florida routes were reported as the most delayed for travelers leaving Buffalo in March, which is a peak time for spring break. Of Southwest Airlines’ 15 flights from Buffalo to Fort Myers, eight of them were not on time and two were canceled, meaning only 33% of those flights were on time. Similarly, Frontier Airlines’ had 31 March flights to Fort Myers and 55% of them were on time, meaning 13 of them were delayed and one was canceled.
