BUFFALO, N.Y. — New York Governor Kathy Hochul recently announced $48 million in funding for airports across New York State.
The funding comes with the idea that it will help those airports awarded with infrastructure enhancements, and to promote sustainability and resiliency.
Western New York airports will be getting a portion of $6.8 million in funding.

- Chautauqua County Jamestown Airport
- Niagara Falls International Airport
- LeRoy Airport
- Wellsville Municipal Airport

The process of which airports got awarded was through a competitive socialization process and rated based on establishing certain criteria.
“A strong investment in our airports is a meaningful investment in our communities and the future of the Empire State,” Governor Hochul said. “Airports are gateways to communities large and small across New York State and these grants will serve as a launchpad to springboard many of these facilities into the 21st century and beyond.”
