BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority announced the bus loop at the University Station will close beginning May 30 for construction.
Crews will be working to widen the bus loop that will provide more room for operators to navigate the roadway.
Those that use that stop can now use the following temporary stops during the construction.
• Routes #8 and #12 will stop at Main Street
• Routes #5, #13, #19, #34, #44, #47, #48, #49, and #81 will utilize the Main Circle on the University at Buffalo campus
The Metro Rail will still operate at normal. The station itself is still open, but riders will have to use the upper entrance across from the main circle while crews are working.

This project, which is expected to be completed by the end of summer, is part of the NFTA's continuing improvement to the public transportation, which will include new bus shelters, new rail stations downtown and better access to transit services.
