FREDONIA, N.Y. — A tractor-trailer carrying a truckload of watermelons caught fire on Thursday morning just before the Fredonia-Dunkirk exit on Interstate 90.
NITTEC reported the incident at around 9:38 a.m., which shut down the right eastbound lane.
As of 11:22 a.m. Thursday, all lanes had reopened and the incident had been cleared. The right shoulder remained closed for several hours.
No injuries were reported according to the state's Thruway Authority.
