BUFFALO, N.Y. — Strong storms Wednesday morning caused delays during the morning commute.

According to TrafficTracker 2's Dave Cash, downed trees resulted in several road closures across Western New York:

Grand Island Bridge:

  • A multi vehicle accident blocks the right lane on the 190 North about half way up the North Grand Island Bridge.
  • That accident has been cleared and the road reopened.

West Seneca:

  • Union Road has reopened after a large tree came down on power lines near Indian Church Rd.

Heavy rains and strong winds also cause thousands of Western New Yorkers in Erie and Chautauqua Counties to be without power Wednesday morning. For a full list of power outages and estimated restoration times click here.
