BUFFALO, N.Y. — A crash involving five cars led to the eastbound lanes on the Skyway being closed for nearly 90 minutes.
The crash happened shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday near the Ohio Street exit, a Buffalo Police Department spokesperson told 2 On Your Side.
That led to Route 5 East eventually being closed between Tifft Street and the 190 around 5:30 p.m. That stretch of road was closed until around 7 p.m. as first responders worked the scene.
At least one vehicle rolled over, police said.
"South District officers say there were injuries, but at this time the injuries do not appear serious in nature," police said.
The westbound lanes on Route 5 were also impacted, with one lane closing for roughly 30 minutes, according to NITTEC.
