BUFFALO, N.Y. — The New York State Department of Transportation wants to let motorists know that their will be a closure of the eastbound State Route 5, which is inbound on the Buffalo Skyway, and goes from Ohio Street to Interstate 190 in the City of Buffalo.
The closure will take place beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday and goes until 6 a.m. on Saturday.
The highway closure is needed due to facilitate the emergency removal of a traffic sign assembly.
All inbound traffic will be directed to exit at Ohio Street.
They also want to remind motorists that fines are doubled in work zones for speeding, and some convictions could result in the suspension of one's drivers license.
