Metro rail service disrupted while NFTA investigates track incident

NFTA providing shuttle service until full rail service is restored.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — An incident at the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority's LaSalle station is causing metro rail service to be temporarily disrupted.

A spokesperson for the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority says the incident happened shortly before 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

NTFA police are investigating and will provide an update as more information becomes available.

.@tapd1404 are investigating an incident at LaSalle station in which a man appears to have jumped in front of the train.

Rail service is not running from University Station. Trains continue from Canalside and Humboldt.
