AMHERST, N.Y. — The New York State Department of Transportation has announced that a new traffic signal will be activated in the Town of Amherst.
Activating on Dec. 23 at the intersection of Millersport Highway and Hopkins Road, the new signal will operate in flashing mode until Dec. 29. Flashing yellow indications will be on Millersport Highway, while flashing red indications will be on Hopkins Road.
The traffic signal will be full operational with all three color operations beginning on December 30.
Motorists driving through that area are advised to use caution when approaching the new signal as traffic adjusts to the new traffic pattern.
