BUFFALO, N.Y. — Overnight closures of outbound Route 33 were scheduled to begin on Monday for repairs following an accident. However, these closures have been delayed yet again.
According to Traffic Tracker 2's Dave Cash, the closures have been cancelled until further notice.
When they are rescheduled, the closure will be from Best Street to East Delavan Street Mondays through Fridays from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
During the closure, crews will be making repairs to the Dodge Street overpass after it was hit by a truck in March. Traffic continues to be one-lane on Dodge Street.
Drivers traveling eastbound should follow the detour signs using the Best Street off-ramp.
Route 33 was scheduled to close earlier this week, but the date was moved back.
The DOT also reminds drivers that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
