BUFFALO, N.Y. — A portion of the outbound Route 33 will be closing overnight for two months beginning Thursday, April 6 according to the New York State Department of Transportation.
The closure will be from Best Street to East Delavan Street Monday through Friday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
During the closure, crews will be making repairs to the Dodge Street overpass after it was hit by a truck earlier this month. Traffic continues to be one-lane on Dodge Street.
Drivers traveling eastbound should follow the detour signs using the Best Street off-ramp.
Route 33 was scheduled to close earlier this week, but the date was moved back.
The DOT also reminds drivers that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
