BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Lexington Coop on Hertel Avenue in Buffalo opened up two electric charging stations that can fully charge a car in six hours.
National Grid covered half of the costs as part of a program that people there say will bring a lot more chargers to the area.
"But it is only available through year end 2025, and we're looking for any business customer, large and small, to work with us and support their employees, their customers, their visitors with electric vehicle charging," said Whitney Skeans, who is the senior program manager of electric vehicles of National Grid.
Right now, the first hour of charging at those stations is free, and then it's $2.50 an hour after that.
