IBM, Microsoft pick Buffalo for first U.S. ‘experience zone’

BUFFALO, N.Y. — IBM and Microsoft recently opened their first U.S. “experience zone” right here in Buffalo.

The goal of the IBM-Microsoft Experience Zones are to help global clients across industries discover new ways to utilize hybrid cloud, generative AI and other Microsoft products and technologies. After opening the initial experience zone in India earlier this year, the companies Sept. 19 opened three other ones: in Buffalo, the United Kingdom and Romania.

Buffalo’s is located in the IBM Buffalo Client Innovation Center, at 40 Fountain Plaza on the 11th floor. The innovation hub, which originally opened in 2015, was funded with $55 million under the Buffalo Billion economic development program.
