CLARENCE CENTER, N.Y. β The Town of Clarence announced that it has opened up a new trail for people to enjoy.
Perfect for walkers, runners, bicyclists, and more, the Northwoods Trail is a mile-long starting at the Waterford Trail at Roll Road and ending at the Northwoods subdivision on Greiner Road.
It also connects to the existing town trail system as well, which now totals more than 13 miles.
βOur town trails are extremely popular with residents,β Clarence Town Supervisor Patrick Casilio said in a statement. βWe will continue to connect neighborhoods, schools, parks, and community facilities to our trail system as we provide even more opportunities for people to enjoy life in our town.β
The project to create the trail cost $560,000 and was funded 50% by the town, with the remaining funding coming through the New York State Environmental Protection Fund.
