BUFFALO, N.Y. — The warm temperatures for Memorial Day weekend has prompted the City of Buffalo to open splash pads.
The city's 10 splash pads will be open Saturday, May 25, Sunday, May 26. and Monday, May 27 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
"They're a great community assets a safe family friendly environment so we are really pleased to be able to do that. Special thanks to Deputy Commissioner Rabb and the entire parks team to get those up and running to get those prepped for the season so we can open up and have those enjoyed through out the year. So from the DPW's stand point welcome everybody to come to our splash pads, enjoy yourselves be safe, respect each other," Nate Marton, Buffalo's Department of Public Works commissioner, said in a statement.
Here is a list of splash pad locations that you can enjoy in the City of Buffalo:
- Ralph Wilson Park — foot of Porter Avenue
- Allison Park — Reese Street, adjacent to Asarese Matters Center
- Masten Park — Best Street, adjacent to Johnnie B. Wiley Sports Pavilion
- MLK Jr. Park Basin — Best Street and Fillmore Avenue
- Lanigan Park — South Park Avenue, west of Louisiana Street
- Lincoln Park — foot of Quincy Street
- Cazenovia Park — behind the park casino
- Houghton Park — foot of Spahn Street
- Schiller Park — Sprenger Street side of park
- Roosevelt Park — foot of Roosevelt Avenue
