RIO DE JANEIRO-- Kenmore native Anita Alvarez and her USA teammate Mariya Koroleva competed in the Synchronized swimming Duets free routine final Tuesday.
The Russian team of Atalia Ishchenko and Svetlana Romashina took gold. This is their fourth Olympic gold medal. They won the duet title in the 2012 Olympics in London.
Huang Xuechen and Sun Wenyan of China took silver and Japan's Yukiko Inui and Risako Mitsui took the bronze.
Koroleva and Alvarez finished ninth with 173.9945 points.
