PARIS, France — Jessica Pegula and doubles partner Coco Gauff have been eliminated by Czech Republic's Karolina Muchova and Linda Noskova in the second round of the tennis doubles competition.
After winning the first set 6-2, the pair would continue their success into the second set winning the first game.
Muchova, Noskova came back to take the second set pushing the U.S. to the brink.
The Czech Republic would prevail in the tiebreaking set, defeating Pegula and Gauff in just three sets.
Pegula was also eliminated from singles play on Monday in the second round. Gauff was also eliminated from the singles competition on Tuesday additionally after a controversial call and a heated discussion with the chair umpire.
