Matt Anderson's family is ready for the Paris Olympics

WEST SENECA, N.Y. — West Seneca native Matt Anderson will begin his quest for an elusive gold medal next week at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Anderson's wife recently posted an video of their kids, Jamie and Juno, on Instagram. She asks them questions about what Daddy does, and the final product is adorable. You can watch part of that video at the top of this article.

2 On Your Side spoke with Anderson last week about his training and competing in Paris. He said that he hopes to come home to Buffalo and have a meet and greet where people can touch a gold medal.

Anderson is competing in his fifth Olympic Games. Anderson won an Olympic bronze medal back at the games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

Now comes another chance for Anderson over in Paris, where the Olympics start July 26 and run through August 11. These Summer Games will be on shown on NBC and Channel 2.

"The hours in the gym, early mornings & late nights seem endless at times," Anderson said on Instagram back in May, when he confirmed that he had made the team.

"Lucky to have been in the position to put my head down and work through pain, heartbreak, triumph, personal loss, and still come out with the endless support from my superhero wife @snackieanderson, my beautiful children, my family, and my friends."

Anderson became the youngest member of Team USA Men's Volleyball in 2010, and he competed in the Olympics in London, Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. He currently plays professional volleyball in Turkey.
