PARIS, France — Jessica Pegula has been eliminated from the 2024 Paris Olympics Tennis women's singles competition following a loss to Ukraine's Elina Svitolina on Monday.

After advancing to the second round on Sunday, and taking an early lead in her match against Svitolina, Pegula looked to be on her way to the next round.

She would drop the second and third sets, losing 6-1 and 6-3 and finishing with a 17th overall rank in the women's singles competition.

Pegula will still have another chance to win a medal with doubles partner Coco Gauff as they await their next match which has yet to be determined.
