BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bandits have captured a second straight championship, and now it's time for Banditland to celebrate.
The team held a championship rally to celebrate the title on Sunday at noon, in Alumni Plaza right outside of KeyBank Center.
Buffalo won the National Lacrosse League title for a sixth time in franchise history Saturday night when the Bandits defeated the Albany FireWolves 15-13.
The win came in front of a sold out crowd of 19,000 people at KeyBank Center, who witnessed Buffalo win back-to-back championships for the second time in team history and first time since 1992-93.
According to the team, Sunday's celebration will run from noon to 2 p.m. and is free to attend for all fans. The rally will start with what the team calls an Orange and Black carpet walk before the team gathers on stage to thank the Bandits faithful.
