Bandits clinch playoff berth with 14-7 win over Roughnecks

Buffalo punched its ticket to the NLL postseason at the team's regular season home finale Saturday night at KeyBank Center.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The reigning National Lacrosse League champions will now officially get to defend their title in the playoffs this season.

The Buffalo Bandits clinched a playoff berth on fan appreciation night in front of a sellout crowd of 19,000 fans at KeyBank Center on Saturday night, defeating the Calgary Roughnecks 14-7.

Chase Fraser led the way for Buffalo, scoring a team-high four goals, including the first and final goals of the game, as the Bandits led from start to finish. The Bandits are finding their best form at the right time, securing their first three-game win streak with the victory over Calgary.

Buffalo is 10-7 this season, tied for the third most wins in the NLL.

The win comes in the Bandits' regular season home finale. Buffalo has just one game left in the regular season, with a visit to Las Vegas set for next Saturday, with the team finding out its seeding for the playoffs after next weekend.
