BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Sabres didn't have a game scheduled on Sunday, but the players did take the ice for the team's annual skills challenge.
During the KeyBank Center event, the Sabres were divided into two teams to see how could win in a All-Star Game-style skills competition.
The contest included a puck-control relay, a hardest shot contest, an accuracy showdown, and challenges that focused on one-timers, power plays and shootouts.
The doors opened at 9 a.m., and the event included an alumni autograph session that included:

The family-friendly event came a day after the Sabres defeated the Florida Panthers 3-2 on Saturday. That game had moved up to 1 p.m., allowing fans to cheer on the Buffalo Bills in their NFL wild card game.
