Sabres announce Prospects Challenge roster headlined by Helenius, former first round picks

A total of five first round picks will take the ice for the Sabres this weekend.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres announced the roster for the 2024 Prospects Challenge games this upcoming weekend.

Featuring five former first-round picks, the roster includes Konsta Helenius, Noah Ostlund, Jiri Kulich, Isak Rosen, and Ryan Johnson. Fans will get to see 2024 first-rounder Helenius in action against other teams for the first time after seeing him on the ice in Buffalo back in the summer during development camp.

Buffalo is set to face off against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday, September 13 at 7 p.m., the New Jersey Devils on Saturday at 7 p.m., and the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday at 5 p.m. 

Before the Saturday game, the Sabres are hosing a Fan Fest and HockeyFest where fans can experience special programming and interact with current and former Sabres players.
