BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres announced on Tuesday that the team is promoting Jerry Forton to assistant General Manager.
Forton previously served as director of amateur scouting dating back to the 2020-21 season.
Before that, he spent three seasons as the director of collegiate scouting and two seasons as the assistant director of scouting.
“I am thrilled to announce that Jerry Forton has been promoted to assistant general manager,” general manager Kevyn Adams said. “His steady commitment to the Sabres organization and exemplary work ethic have played a pivotal role in the success of our staff over the years."
Forton also was an amateur scout for the team during the 2014-15 season and filled in as an assistant coach during the 2013-14 season.
The Sabres also announced that Chris Bergeron has been hired as an amateur free agent scout.
